Learning occurs not only in the classroom, but also at home when students are involved in a number of activities which together can be labelled “homework”. Some homework will be set by the teacher and may include:

  • Completion of tasks set in class to ensure progress
  • Assignment work
  • Revision of new work taught in class
  • Practice/ Studying for exams
  • Wider reading

Students are expected to spend at least the following amount of time each school night on homework:

Year 7 & 8 – 1 to 1.5 hours

Year 9 & 10– 1.5 hours to 2 hours

After school homework support is available in the Manresa Library and via Your Tutor - yourtutor.com.au/stcatherines-proserpine
