Manresa Campus is named after the town of Manresa in Spain. It was here that St. Ignatius of Loyola spent 12 months in solitude in a cave deliberating about his past life and actively experienced God. Out of this experience, Ignatius wrote his famed Spiritual Exercises the Examen, which was the foundation for the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits).
As a community, we are called, “to be with Christ as servants of his mission,” through our provision of a Catholic education. The religious, academic and cross-curricular life of the campus are based on the Ignatian values of: Excellence, Community, Compassion and Justice. These values are reflected in the relationships between all stakeholder members of our College community. Our mission is to provide a holistic and seamless education for students from Year 7 to Year 12, which is reflected in their commitment to strong faith, servant leadership and pursuit of wisdom, their and pursuit of knowledge.
A broad curriculum is offered at St. Catherine’s Catholic College, Manresa Campus and students have the opportunity to study a diverse range of subjects which are supplemented by extensive extra-curricular opportunities.
