Blak Excellence and Indigenous Graduation & Awards presentation
Our Year 12 Emerging Leaders attended the Emerging Leaders Incentive Scheme Blak Excellence lunch in Townsville in Term 3 at The Ville. The event featured guest speakers, panel members and table mentors from different education, training and work backgrounds who shared their stories, pathways to success, and advice to our students as they embark on their post-school journeys. Our students were able to ask questions of these deadly people and hear what Blak Excellence optimises in 2023.
Our students then attended the Townsville Catholic Education Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Year 12 Graduation Liturgy and Awards Presentation at Sacred Heart Cathedral. This event is a wonderful celebration and rite of passage for our young people held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral where they are presented with their graduation stoles and certificates by TCE Director Jacqui Francis and Fr Emene.
