Resource Centers

The Mission of the St Catherine’s Catholic College Library program is to support the curriculum of St Catherine’s Catholic College, and to provide students, teachers, and staff with access to current, adequate, and appropriate information resources and to ensure that they are effective users of information.

St Catherine’s Catholic College resource centers are a welcoming space for everyone. The resource center is the place to be if you are looking for resources for assessments, printing, games, current events and school history. Across our Primary and Secondary Campuses the resource centers strongly encourage literacy. This is achieved through our range of books, magazines, graphic novels, eBooks and more. You can borrow these to take home or browse in the air-conditioned comfort of the resource centers.

The resource centers participates in The CBCA (Children's Book Council of Australia) Book Week. This is usually in the third week of August. The librarians organise activities and there is a Book Character Dress-up day. The Primary resouce center hosts a Scholastic Book Fair. The Scholastic Book Fair allows the students, staff and the wider community the chance to purchase quality books and stationery. The resource center is then given a commission based on the sales, which we then use to purchase new resources.
