Speeches delivered at Youth Parliament

Our students travelled to Mackay to take part in the true-to-life parliamentary experience, Youth Parliament in Term 3. Our group of Year 6 students represented our College as part of the opposition debate on social media measures and in an adjournment debate about an issue of interest that was of importance to them. All of our students had to make a 1-minute speech on the day, with the event chaired by the Speaker, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP. Our students had the honour of speaking with our local State Member of Parliament Ms Amanda Camm also.
