The Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball (QISSN) Carnival is the biggest Netball competition for Secondary Schools in Queensland, and spots at the carnival are highly competitive. This year the carnival was held in Mackay from 26th June to 1st July 2022.

This was the fourth time our College entered a girls team to compete, with a top 5 finish in their division, our equal best result since our induction in the carnival. Excitingly, we also entered a boys team for the first time this year. Our boys blew everyone away with their performance, making it all the way to the grand final and finishing as runners-up!

Congratulations to Mikayla Wylie and Jacob Dewis who were named as MVPs for their respective teams. Jacob, along with Louie Archer and Bailey Wishart, were named in the Boys All Stars team! Our College also took home The 'Captain Vivian Bullwinkel' Perpetual Trophy which is awarded to "the team that embodies the Australian Army values of Courage, Respect, Initiative and Teamwork". QISSN President Ann Rebgetz said our students showed great sportsmanship throughout the week-long competition. A big thank you to Miss Kaye, Mr Laguna and Mr Spencer who trained and traveled away with the students for the week. We are already looking forward to next year's event.
